In another article, we already discussed who we thought had the advantage for Monday night’s football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, but now it’s time to look at prop bets! The first prop bet to examine is Bengals running back Joe Mixon Over/Under 65.5 rushing yards for tonight’s game.

Mixon has been a consistent rusher in the NFL over his career, however this season he is off to probably his slowest start. Through 7 games the Bengals running back has rushed for just a shade over 400 yards. Mixon is the Bengals leading rusher, however, they have become more of a pass-heavy offense with Burrow and his multiple targets at receiver. One key issue for tonight’s game is leading receiver Ja’Marr Chase is out with an injury, so we think the Bengals will focus more on the running game. What also helps Mixon’s odds is the fact the Bengals should be able to lead most of the game, so running the ball can keep the clock running. We will take Mixon to go Over 65.5 yards rushing for our first prop bet.

Tip Reasoning

Key Stat: Cincinnati averages 302 passing yards per game

  • Cleveland gives up 226 passing yards per game
  • Tyler Boyd has 29 receptions for Cincinnati
  • Boyd averages 15.7 yards per reception

Our next prop bet for the Monday Night Football matchup between the Bengals and Browns stays on the Cincinnati offensive side, where we look at wide receiver Tyler Boyd Over/Under 23.5 yards for longest reception. Boyd is the Bengals third leading receiver on the team, which is impressive company considering the top two are Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. With the injury to Chase, Boyd is sure to get more targets his way against a very susceptible Browns defense. We think the Bengals and Joe Burrow will test the Browns secondary early and often in the game to get a lead, which will lead to many shots down the field. We will take Boyd Over 23.5 yards for his longest reception of the game.
