Kansas State Wildcats vs Oklahoma Sooners Predictions & Picks

Kansas State Wildcats vs Oklahoma Sooners Predictions

Key Stat: Oklahoma Sooners won each of their three matches this season by 27 or more points

Tip Reasoning

  • The Wildcats scored just 10 points at home in their last weekend’s loss to Tulane
  • Kansas State do not have enough quality to stop Gabriel and company
  • Oklahoma are dangerous both on the ground and through the air

Kansas City Wildcats suffered their maiden loss of the season last weekend when they fell 10-17 at home to Tulane Green Wave. They are now in danger of making it two defeats on the spin on Saturday evening when they travel to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to take on the seeded Oklahoma Sooners in Week 4. The Sooners are yet to make a mistake this season, following yet another easy victory over Nebraska Cornhuskers seven days ago.

Oklahoma Sooners have won each of their three games by at least 27 points difference. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was great last weekend, completing 16 of 27 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns without interceptions on the occasion. We have to praise Oklahoma’s rushing game as well since the team tallied 312 yards on the ground on 54 attempts. Knowing that the Wildcats struggled badly offensively last weekend against the Green Wave, we will go with the Sooners to win in -12 points spread at the -112 odds.

Tip Reasoning

Key Stat: Oklahoma Sooners have been fantastic in rushing defense so far in the season

  • The Sooners have conceded only two touchdowns on the ground in three games so far in the season
  • Kansas State rely heavily on their rushing attack
  • Eight of the Wildcats’ nine TDs have come on the ground

Oklahoma are allowing only 10 points per game this season which ranks them inside the Top 10 in the country.  They have allowed the counterparts only a total of 355 yards on the ground in the opening three outings of the season. Oklahoma have also conceded no more than two rushing touchdowns. Knowing that Kansas State’s offensive line relies heavily on the rushing game, we are not quite optimistic regarding the Wildcats’ chances of doing much on the offensive end here. The Wildcats managed only a single passing touchdown so far in the season. We expect Oklahoma’s defense to do the job and we will go with the Under 53 points at the -110 odds.
