NASCAR Sonoma Outright Winner Predictions & Picks: Kyle Busch Ready for the Top

NASCAR Sonoma Outright Winner Predictions

Key Stat: We do not have an outstanding favorite for the win here

Tip Reasoning

  • The best value is with Kyle Busch at +1000
  • Kyle came second in back-to-back races at Charlotte and at WWT Raceway
  • Busch has one win and six top-five finishes this season

The best NASCAR drivers head over to California this weekend where they are set to race at the Toyota Save Mart 350. The season is in full swing and we do have quite a clear picture into the capabilities and the form of each driver by now. The problem is, however, that there is no a genuine one favorite for the win here. Toyota Save Mart 350 can honestly go to numerous names as we would not be shocked to see even someone outside the top-five in the overall NASCAR Cup Series standings taking the crown on Sunday in California.

This is why we do not want to back the current NASCAR Cup Series leader Chase Elliott who is the top favorite here according to the sportsbooks. Elliott is the current leader but he has only a single win in the season so far under his belt which best describes how close all drivers are this year. Instead, we find the value in backing the second-placed driver Kyle Busch at the attractive +1000 odds. Interestingly, Kyle is only the fourth favorite for the win at Sonoma racecourse despite claiming the second place in back-to-back NASCAR Cup Series races at Charlotte and at World Wide Technology Raceway over the previous two weekends. We’ll go with Busch as an outright winner of Sonoma 2022 at the +1000 odds.

Tip Reasoning

Key Stat: Bell has three poles this season

  • Christopher Bell also has four top-five finishes this year
  • He could shine in the absence of proper favorites for the win here
  • The value is great at the +1600 odds

Our second value-pick for Sonoma 2022 would be Christopher Bell at the sky-high +1600 odds. Bell is yet to pick up his inaugural NASCAR Cup Series win but he already has three poles and four top-five finishes in twelve starts. Only twice in these twelve starts did Bell fail to make the top-ten at the end of the race. He is explosive driver well capable of shocking the main favorites on his day. He came fifth two weeks ago at Charlotte and ninth last weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway. We really like the attractive +1600 odds offered for his win on Sunday.
