MLB picks Monday 6/26 – YRFI & NRFI best bets today: Reds’ Cole Irvin and Twins’ Sonny Gray Stepping Up

As teams transition between series, the spotlight falls on matches like Reds vs Orioles, Twins vs Braves, and Brewers vs Mets. An abundance of choices is available for constructing compelling YRFI/NRFI wagers, as I aim to improve on my weekend’s 3-1 standing.

This market is gaining significant traction amongst baseball bettors. He regained his standard form last Wednesday in Philadelphia, delivering a powerful 6.0 innings, 1-run game with 9 strikeouts and no walks. Strider has kept a clean sheet in the first innings of four out of his last five starts. Given the Twins’ line-up’s meager experience against Strider (just three lifetime at-bats), I predict early game struggles due to lack of familiarity.

Sonny Gray, stepping up for Minnesota, is anticipated to effectively restrain Atlanta’s potent line-up. Gray’s impressive 2023 performance includes a 4-1 record, a 2.53 ERA, and 84 strikeouts across 81.0 innings. The right-hander had an impressive ten-game streak of NRFIs before succumbing to Boston for a run last week. Expect Gray to kickstart another NRFI streak come Monday night.
