Astros vs. Mariners: NRFI (-135)
In Saturday’s lineup of MLB games, my initial pick revolves around the NRFI (No Runs First Inning) bet in the showdown between the Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners have showcased solid pitching throughout the season, and Bryan Woo is a prime example of their strength on the mound.
Despite his 4.08 ERA, the young right-hander has performed exceptionally well in 2023, ranking in the top 10 percentile of all starters in strikeout rate, expected batting average (xBA), and expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA). Additionally, his impressive xERA of 2.72 indicates that he has been unfortunate in terms of results.
