Houston’s starting pitcher, Brandon Bielak, possesses a 4-5 record and a 3.79 ERA, yet an elevated xFIP of 4.66. A starter with such high advanced metrics pitching at Coors Field is not an ideal mix.

The Rockies will deploy Austin Gomber as their starter. Despite showcasing some commendable performances over his last four games, Gomber has struggled in his home stadium. Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners: NRFI (-135)

To commence Wednesday’s betting, I’ll select the NRFI in this American League face-off between the Minnesota Twins and Seattle Mariners. The Mariners may be on the fringes of the AL playoff scene, but it’s not due to lackluster pitching. Luis Castillo has proven to be a top performer this season, ranking in the top 20th percentile of all starters for walk rate and whiff rate. Also, his steady ERA of 2.96 suggests that he’s been consistent this season. Expect a robust start against the Twins.

On the Twins’ side, Kenta Maeda hasn’t been as efficient, with a current ERA of 5.50 for the season. Nonetheless, he’s primed for significant improvement (xERA of 3.85), and this lefty should commence positively against the top of this struggling Mariners lineup. Given that he’s allowed only six runs over his past four starts, I’m anticipating a solid performance from this experienced player on the road. Let’s go with the NRFI in what I predict will be a low-scoring contest at T-Mobile Park on Wednesday.
