Cincinnati Reds first 5 innings ML (-105) over Houston Astros

A Promising Start

Launching our mega parlay, we place our confidence in the Cincinnati Reds to prevail in the money line for the initial five innings. The Reds have been on a tear recently, achieving a 9-2 score in their previous 11 matches, including a 2-1 triumph over the Astros just last Friday. The stars seem to be aligning for the Reds this Saturday, given the exceptional away performances by young sensation Hunter Greene in 2023 – he’s allowed a mere 11 earned runs in his last six games outside Cincinnati. The fireball-throwing right-handed pitcher should continue to dominate opposing batters, having given up just 8 hits in his latest 17.1 innings.

An additional boost for Cincinnati’s lineup has been the introduction of rookie Elly De La Cruz. Given his continued success against Brandon Bielak (6.36 xERA), who ranks poorly among all qualified pitchers in xwOBA, xSLG, xBA, hard-hit rate, and barrel percentage, it’s difficult to ignore the Reds in the first five innings. Given the stark disparity between the starting pitchers, we’re drawn to betting on the Reds.

NY Mets Win (-155) over  St. Louis Cardinals

Strong Rebound

Kodai Senga, the Mets’ pitcher, has been in outstanding form of late. Following an impressive 2.79 ERA performance in May and the newfound comfort at the pitcher-friendly Citi Field, Senga is well-positioned to put on a stellar performance on Saturday. Despite a rocky start in June against the Blue Jays, Senga quickly bounced back with an impressive 7-inning play, allowing no earned run and only two hits.

On the other hand, it’s been a challenging season for the Cardinals’ Adam Wainwright. In 37.1 innings, Wainwright has registered a 5.79 ERA coupled with a 6.21 xERA. Given his recurring struggle to limit an offense, it would be a smart bet to go against the Cardinal veteran and back the Mets on the money line.

Cleveland Guardians Win (-130) over Arizona Diamondbacks

Bouncing Back

After a 5-1 defeat in Friday night’s interleague series opener, the Guardians are primed for a comeback. RHP Shane Bieber, the team’s Opening Day starter, boasts a 5-3 record, a 3.29 ERA, and a 1.22 WHIP overall. His nighttime performance is even more noteworthy, with a 4-2 record, a 2.63 ERA, and a .246 opponent batting average.

Countering for the Diamondbacks is LHP Tommy Henry. His performance in June hasn’t been promising, with a 4.86 ERA overall. This sets up an ideal situation for the Guardians to rebound, provided they can counteract the left-handed starting pitcher.

MIL Brewers Win (-110) over Pittsburgh Pirates

Ending on a High

The Pirates have been struggling, losing four straight games and standing at a modest 34-34 overall. Their track record against the Brewers isn’t promising, with a mere .281 winning percentage at American Family Field.

On the other hand, the Brewers have recently put an end to their six-game losing streak, and the visit from the Pirates could be their turning point. Wade Miley, one of the Brewers’ more consistent starters, is returning from a latissimus muscle injury. His overall 3-2 record with a 3.67 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP hints at a tough match against RHP Mitch Keller. But given Keller’s recent shaky performances on the road, this could be a winning bet for the Brewers.
