Perhaps the most anticipated game of the NFL slate on Sunday is when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Buffalo Bills. The Vikings come into the game as one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve won six games in a row. While the Vikings haven’t lost since week two, the Bills are 6-2 and lost last week against their AFC East rival, the New York Jets. While the Bills suffered a surprising loss to the Jets, the biggest result of the game was the injury to QB Josh Allen.

The Bills star QB suffered an elbow injury during one of the last plays of the game and he is questionable for Sundays game against Minnesota. While Allen is officially questionable, most aren’t expecting the QB to play this weekend. This means Case Keenum will face his former team and will try to hand Minnesota their second loss of the season.

The Vikings come into the game as healthy as a team can be this late in the season, so this offense will look to their playmakers to score against an excellent Bills defense. We think Minnesota is playing well in all facets of the game right now, and the Allen injury will be too much for Buffalo to overcome. We will take the Vikings to win and cash in on a great plus value!

Tip Reasoning

Key Stat: Buffalo is averaging 27 points per game

  • Minnesota is averaging 24 points per game
  • The Vikings are giving up 387 yards per game on defense
  • Buffalo averages 425 yards per game on offense

The second bet for the Vikings-Bills game is the Over/Under of 43 points. Ordinarily any game involving the Bills and a healthy Josh Allen would have a higher line, but with the Bills QB likely to not play on Sunday the line has gone down. Another reason for the lower line is elite Buffalo defense, as the Bills are only giving up 14 points per game. However, Minnesota is playing well and has plenty of weapons to score at a consistent pace on Sunday. While the Minnesota offense should have success, we think backup Case Keenum should provide offense to the Bills against a generous Vikings defense. We will take Over 43 points for Sundays game.
